ABOUT CINEMATOGRAPHY

Cinematography is as integral to film-making as breathing is to life. To put it simply, without the invention of a motion camera, films would not have been a reality. That being said, film-making is not just pointing a camera at something and pressing a record button. It requires a trained cinematographer who is well-versed in the technical and aesthetic aspects of film-making. 

WHAT YOU’LL GET IN THIS COURSE

• You will learn about exposure compensation with iso, shutter speed and aperture.

• You will learn about lenses and framing.

• You will learn about camera basics with an in depth DSLR camera overview; know about frame rate, video resolution, choosing a lens.

• You will learn professional lighting techniques to shoot both your indoor and outdoor scenes; know about colour temperature and white balance.

• You will get demonstrations on 3 point lighting, day and night lighting.

• You will learn to compose better looking videos with knowing about types of shot, focus pulling and visual design.

• You will learn about colour correction and colour grading for cinematographers.

• You will learn to add movement to your shots with slider, rig and gimbal.

• You will build your showreel by shooting a short fiction film by the end of the course.
